The topic of wind offshore is one of the priorities on the energy policy agenda of the European Council this year and is seen as a major contribution to achieving European climate neutrality by 2050.
In order to make the electricity system CO2-neutral, we need about 180 GW of wind energy in the North Sea by 2050.
The central elements of a European, sector-coupled, climate-neutral energy system must be defined today in order to achieve these ambitious goals. The panel discussion will analyse how a possible roadmap for this future might look like.
